Park 25, Redhill (500 Homes)

A nice round 500 units, pretty high density with a majority of flats, up to four storeys on an ex-industrial commercial site. The contemporary architecture still looks impressive a few years on, and there are some great spaces within the site: a central green, and a structure of green spaces throughout the development which have matured nicely, including the pond which was retained from the previous land use. Working for three clients – Wimpey, Barratt and Bellway – was an interesting challenge… This was also one of the first sites where we used 3d modelling at pre-app stage to demonstrate to Councillors and locals how these spaces might look and feel. And the scheme utilises a Biomass boiler (so if you have any old wooden tables and chairs you don’t need…)
