Manor Annexe, Aldershot (124 Homes)
This was one of the earliest schemes in the country to utilise a ‘Woonerf’ (yes it’s that word again) design, an approach which had to be ‘sold’ to the Authority and local residents. Close to the town centre and overlooking a public park, there are 124 new homes, their design drawn from the adjacent conservation area. Overlooking a rather large ‘skateboard park’, noise mitigation was also a principle design driver.
