This famous old semi-professional football ground was falling apart at the seams and the new, super-duper modern, leisure and sports facility just a couple of miles away rang its death knell. On the boundary of the town centre the call from the local homeowners was for a lower than would be expected density proposal – one that incorporated a good proportion of large, detached houses within the total of 54 new homes.
