The redevelopment of the former Stompond Lane football ground provided 54 new homes on a prominent site at the edge of Walton-on-Thames town centre.

With the former ground no longer meeting modern requirements and replacement sports facilities provided elsewhere, the site presented an opportunity for a carefully considered residential redevelopment.

Responding to the character of the surrounding neighbourhood and feedback from the local community, DHA developed a lower-density approach than might typically be expected in a town-centre-edge location. The resulting scheme incorporates a varied mix of homes, including a significant proportion of larger detached properties, helping the development sit comfortably within its established residential context.
